You’ll probably know we had some tough times with our social media marketing conference arrangements over the last few weeks. But sometimes as the saying goes, out of adversity comes the greatest opportunity.
The re-jigged conference at The Marriott in Cardiff on June 11th is arguably shaping up to be better than the original plan was in the first place.
It’s certainly better value for the attendees – IMHO
One of the speakers described it yesterday like this: “The guys who are going to event are going to get social media strategy, social media tools, and psychology – what a great mix!”
Thanks here formally and officially to the main man, Mark Schaefer, without whom this would not have been at all possible.
He remains not only one of the foremost thinkers in Social Media, a genuine creative thinker and leading marketing blogger and best selling author, but a great friend to me, and the Oiconf team.
Without further ado, here is the line up / format for the day. Timings are approximate and subject to change, though not too much I hope!

3.315 (TBC) Pippa Davies – Want Need Feel
We know social media content is at its most effective when we meet our customers and clients needs and wants.
But what about our own desires and ambitions? Shouldn’t they affect what we make and share?
And what about limiting budgets, available time and skills?
In this session, psychologist and web editor Philippa Davies looks at how to marry who you are and what you want with your social media activity…
4.30 Panel Discussion to close of day
Our three superstar speakers Mark, Ian and Pippa will be joined by some terrific talent for a wrap up that should encompass everything that’s been discussed through the day.
Chaired by the brilliant Paul Fairburn of Amiable Consulting, we have already secured the additional services of Paul Sheppard of main Oiconf sponsor Coup Media, web design guru Joel Hughes of Jojet and there are a few other little surprises on their way too.
Its an incredible day, packed full of opportunity to drive your knowledge and understanding of this most vital of marketing disciplines.
